Juventus interested in Pogba swap deal

New Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo has identified Paul Pogba as his number one target this summer if reports are trustworthy.

The Italian giants may even be willing to sacrifice key man Paulo Dybala in order to re-sign the Frenchman.

Tuttosport claim that if Juve are forced to let the Argentine leave, then the club will replace him with a new midfielder.

The report claims that Pirlo’s first choice is his former teammate Pogba. He would happily return to his former side, especially now that Pirlo will be in the dugout.

The Turin side could possibly offer Dybala to Man United in a swap deal in order to get their hands on the Frenchman.

United seem to be open to a deal, although the decision is in Dybala’s hands whether he wants to leave Italy or not.

Real Madrid and Manchester City were also mentioned as possible destinations for the Argentine.

Will Pogba leave United again?

Pogba has returned to a starring role at his club post-lockdown.

Many thought that he would be leaving United this year. He was seemingly unhappy at the club due to their lack of success and direction.

Yet since January, things have changed and the club now look to be on a good path.

After an injury-riddled season, Pogba has returned to the starting line-up, helping United to an unexpected third-place finish in the Premier League.

He looked increasingly likely to stay in England. But his former club may turn his head.

For Pogba to perform to his maximum ability, he needs to happy and working with a coach he likes.

Moving to Juventus to work under the legendary Pirlo would certainly help his career.

Along with Arturo Vidal, Pogba and Pirlo were part of one of the best midfield trios in Europe at Juventus. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BY GOAL.

They already have three excellent midfielders in Adrien Rabiot, Rodrigo Bentancur and new signing Arthur.

After spending big money on Arthur, he will surely be a guaranteed starter.

Bentancur is also an important cog for Juventus as he brings defensive solidity to the middle third.

Rabiot is quite similar to Pogba in many ways.

Both are tall, French midfielders with all the natural ability in the world but are lazy at times.

Pogba would surely win the battle for a starting place and could join Bentancur and Arthur in a top-class midfield trio.

Blaise Matuidi and Miralem Pjanic have left the club and Aaron Ramsey may follow. So there will be room for midfield reinforcements at Juventus.

If Paul Pogba can return to the form that he had during his first spell in Turin, there may be nowhere better to look.

Is Dybala what United need?

Dybala has been tipped for superstardom for years now, but is he what Man United need? ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BY THE DAILY MAIL.

The former teammates are of a similar level in terms of ability at this moment in time.

Dybala was crowned Serie A MVP after helping Juventus to their ninth Scudetto in a row.

Manchester United are still battling to sign Jadon Sancho, despite Borussia Dortmund publicly stating that he is staying.

But if they cannot sign the Englishman, they will have to look elsewhere for a right-winger.

Dybala is a rather unique player in that he does not have a regular position. He has played as a striker, false 9, number 10 and off the right in his career.

The 26-year-old is a fantastic player, but he may not be the profile that United are looking for. He likes to drop deep and cut inside, essentially filling the same areas that are currently occupied by Bruno Fernandes.

So perhaps Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will decide that Dybala is not worth losing Pogba for.

If Pirlo demands Paul Pogba and Juventus can afford him, then we may see the 27-year-old in an Old Lady shirt once again.

Even if Paulo Dybala does not go the other way.
