According to The Daily Mail, Manchester United have identified Ajax starlet Donny Van de Beek as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.
The French midfielder’s future at United remains uncertain. Reports claim that Juventus and Real Madrid would be interested in his services, but would have to match United’s asking price to get him.
According to Tuttosport, Juventus are considering offering United a swap deal for Pogba.
The reports claim Juventus could offer Aaron Ramsey, Douglas Costa, Alex Sandro, Miralem Pjanic, or Adrien Rabiot in order to re-sign Pogba this summer.
The Frenchman would prefer a move to Real Madrid according to ex France international Willy Sagnol as per RMC Sport.
Should Pogba leave this summer, Manchester United have identified Donny Van de Beek as his replacement, reports The Daily Mail.
Spanish outfit Mundo Deportivo also claims Van de Beek is being pursued by Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.
The young Dutchman has a transfer value of €44 million and looks set to leave Ajax this summer.
The Dutch starlet was a key member of Ajax’s 2018/19 Champions League campaign. He scored three times and set up two goals as Ajax made their way to the semi-finals.
Van de Beek’s good form continued into the current season. He scored eight times and gave five assists to help Ajax to the top of the Eredivisie before its cancellation.
If Manchester United can get the deal done, He would be a fantastic addition to their midfield.
The 23-year old midfielder seems more than ready to make the step up. Standing at 1.83 meters tall with a sturdy frame, and a sharp mind, he should adjust quickly to the pace of the Premier League.
He would complement recent acquisition, Bruno Fernandes, quite nicely. Van de Beek would add goals from midfield as well as creativity and work rate.
The Potential signing of Jadon Sancho coupled with the acquisition of Van de Beek could mean exciting times at Old Trafford.
